Inspection method for radial clearance of micro bearings:

1、 Feeling method

1. Rotate the bearing by hand and observe that the bearing rotates smoothly and flexibly without any jamming phenomenon.

2. For single row radial ball bearings, the outer ring of the bearing can be shaken by hand. Even if the radial clearance is only 0.01mm, the axial movement of the top point of the bearing is still 0.10-0.15mm.

2、 Measurement method

1. Use a feeler gauge to check and confirm the maximum load position of the rolling bearing. Insert a feeler gauge between the rolling element at a 180 ° angle and the outer (inner) ring. The appropriate thickness of the feeler gauge is the radial clearance of the bearing. This method is widely used in self-aligning bearings and cylindrical roller bearings.

2. Check with a dial gauge, first zero the dial gauge, then lift up the outer ring of the rolling bearing, and the reading on the dial gauge is the radial clearance of the bearing.

Precautions for radial clearance inspection of micro bearings

(1) When measuring radial clearance, specialized instruments should be used as much as possible;

(2) The manual push measurement method has a large error, especially when the clearance is in the edge state, which can easily cause errors. It requires the measurer to have high measurement skills, and if conditions permit, it is best to use professional instruments for measurement;

(3) When measuring radial clearance with a feeler gauge, follow the standard regulations and do not use the method of rolling a roller over the gauge for measurement;

(4) Closed type bearings should be measured before sealing; During the measurement process, it should be ensured that the ball falls into the bottom of the ditch; When using a loaded instrument, the measured value should also subtract the increase in clearance caused by the load.

(5) For multi column bearings, it is required that the clearance of each column is qualified, and the arithmetic mean of the clearances of each column is taken as the radial clearance of the bearing.
